Insect Problem

Featured Replies

Just come back from 2000 miles in France in my Octavia Vrs CR170 DSG. Went like a train (Eurostar, not Virgin!) Used cruise control for the first time - set it at 85mph and still averaged more than 45mpg.

Gave the car a good clean today but had problems getting rid of thousands of dead insects stuck in the radiator. Was able to brush a few out but most are still stuck in there.

Any suggestions for removal, or should I just leave it to the English rain to eventually wash them away?

They'll soon dislodge themselves ;)

If you are desperate to get rid of them autoglym do a tar remover, that will shift em

A high-speed run in Motorway rain and spray will shift 'em...

greased lightning bug remover is excellent

Or, as the old Victoria Wood joke goes, "They came and told me someone had stolen my car. "Oh, my God," I said, "what about my insect collection?" "Where was it, in the boot, they asked?" "No, it was on the front bumper.."" :)

You could always chop it in for a VW Beetle. :)
