wondering if anyone can help me out, I have a 53 plate octavia hatch, and it has done me very proud, till now! Ive read most of the threads on when the wipers are faulty but none seem to relate to mine. My wipers work (some of the time) and it’s only when they decide not to in the pouring rain that I have any real problem. To get them to work I found flicking the front wiper stalk up and down a few times usually gets them going, but its getting progressively worse and sometimes don’t work for several minutes.

I put it down to the wiper stalks, but sure enough, I have just had them replaced and still face the same problem.

Does anyone have any ideas on where best to look for problems now???

Bonnet switch

I had that on an 03 and it was the wiper relay so that is also worth checking, although I would check the bonnet switch first also.
