G'day all... my 08 Ambiente DSG 2.0 Estate seems to have a heater problem. It's not climatronic, but it is supposed to push the air out at the temp set on the dial.

I find that during the day, the heater blows "outside air temp" on all settings except full-heat. At full, I melt !

On rainy days (most of them!) when I'd like a little warming to keep the screen mist free, I and the screen just get chilly, the screen mists up and I have to revert to aircon and freeze, as....after using the aircon to clear the screen the system blows cold for at least half an hour after I switch it off......????. .

Perversely, in the evenings it *sometimes* seems to work better.

I'm guessing there's a failed temp sensor but wonder if anyone has also experienced this?

Sounds like a stuck recirc flap.
