WRC spoiler fitted after alot of hassle

Featured Replies

got the spoiler fitted today , made a brill job the paint work , also a brill job fitting it ( after a ball ache doing it )

NEVER NEVR NEVER buy a spoiler from poland , i didnt know where mine came from but had an idea where when i collected it from the guy and guess what he was polish ! so guess it has came from poland .:thumbdwn:

anyway came to fit it after spraying and was nearly an inch to short ! i never checked it before hand , school boy error i know . there was another problem the bolt holes didnt even match up to the standard spoiler , so had to drill new holes .

now with the spoiler being short we had a problem , what to do . i braved it and knowing it could crack or worse split in too we stretched it with **** cheeks stuck together and pulled it to fit know

now its on and the body shop made a fantastic job !

so if you are planing on buying one , its defo worth paying that bit more for a real deal one not one from poland !

ill take some more pictures tomorrow

Looks good!

You got any pics of the whole car so we can see it in relation?

Spot on infact!

i dont like it:O why not go for the one thats the same as the wrc with the bar across as thats not even a wrc copy???

all imo only sorry

maybe it will be different if you put a pic of the whole car...

p.s get rid of the rear wiper it will look 10x better

I toyed with the idea for ages to get the WRC one fitted to mine, I pussied out in the end:O

Off topic now.....

Do you have 16" rims on your vRS? They look it.

Looks a great paint job too, red is a pain in the a$$ to match up!

Steve:)

I bought this spoiler 2 years ago and went to stick it on my Red vrs but didnt think it suited it, it was just primed not painted. I can see now it would have looked great. Worked out ok tho cos its on my vrs wrc no.73 now. Had similar problems as you, also came from Poland. Was painfull drilling the new holes

they are 16" rims , want 18s for the future tho

I like it from the pics from the rear of the car. These spoilers tend to be, love them or hate them. I still can't make my mind up. Was thinking of getting a WRC one for my silver VRS, anyone with pics on a silver motor?

Looks really good on those pics. You definitely need some 18s :D

Looks good I wish I had done it to mine check out wheelwrox for some of the best deals on the web I bought some S8 alloys fitted with 225 40 18 kumho's for £550 delivered

sounds good cheap heavy copies that if you hit a pot hole will smash into a thousand pieces..:o

i would avoid copies have seen to many bad cases of failure...

cheap doesnt always mean good:thumbup:

TBH I'm not a fan of these spoilers, but It may look better with larger alloys & possibly a bit lower on the suspension.

As chorsley stated about wheelworx. I have bought all my alloys from them. They also do price matching & I got an absolutly cracking deal from them, thanks to the power of the internet on the 18" Dezent motion alloys I have on mine:D

The 18" replica old style RS4 alloys I bought from wheelworx, even though they were heavy, they seemed to be of a good quality & stood up to some harsh treatment without any issues.

The whole point of the vRS to me is that it's a sleeper. It blends into the scenery, so you can drive around at 120 all day and nobody bats an eyelid.

So yeah, I'm afraid I hate big silly bits of plastic stuck on to 'look cool'. Just my opinion though! Other than that your car looks lovely mate.
