The other half put an Indian takeaway on the rear seat of my octy estate, black leather seats. It leaked and turned a part of the leather GREEN! Any ideas how to get it back to normal?

Shag her best mate........................That'll learn her.

Sorry I don't know any practical solution :o

bahahahahaha - I think your in trouble, this happened to a mates leather sofa, couldn't remove it. There are leather repair specialists in the yellow pages, maybe have a word with them. Hopefully they be able to sort you out. You'll have to point out the curry hooks.

Bit drastic though, isn't it...? Not got a solution I'm afraid unless Meguiars has ??

Well, apart from the poor English... it's: "That'll teach her" ...not learn her!! ;)

You apparantly don't have my sense of humour :D:D:D

New leather seat bud. If it's as bad as you make it out to be, then it's beyond salvation.

But try a brand of leather cleaner. You never know you might just get lucky. May i suggest Meguiars.

Post a pic so we can see how bad it is.

Same applies if you follow through on a leather seat after eating curry. Those spices are very harsh, not sure what they do to your insides.

If doomed talk to a local upholster about just re doing the back seat, he might be able to get near 95% of Skoda look but without the (i'm guessing) high costs of new seats

James.

Keep rubbing... about all you can do!

Black shoe polish?

Honestly, how stupid can you get? Indian takeaway on leather seats????? Thats what cars have floor mats for ;-)

@Themeopener

Sorry, don't want to have a go at your wife but that really is annoying....

I would'nt worry about the car. I'd worry about what that curry does to your insides:eek:

If you find an antidote that brings it back to normal let me know maybe useful for a Sunday morning after a good Saturday Night out with the boys................Joking aside hmmm looks bad, your poor wife, how will you ever forget/forgive her...hope so and you both get over it soon...dare I say it..it's only a car at the end of the day, you will find some resolve err but if wife ever did that...cant say how I would react well not on here anyway...good luck

Google 'removing curry stains from leather', there's loads of info on there

Jim, really!Urrrgggghhhhh! Is this the voice of experience talking............?

Seriously, try this link

www.thescratchdoctor.co.uk

I've used them for leather repair kits (but not from damage caused by following through), and they do a full range of leather dyes for recolouring.

Mike

Well its an assumption really Mike, my leather thong didn't hold up too well, so can imagine a seat wouldn't.:rofl:

Incidentally I wonder if 'supaguard' could have prevented the off colouring, provided it was applied correctly, thoroughly.

Tell you what I did after I admonished her. This works...Johnson's baby shampoo diluted in a spray bottle, worked in with a sponge, brought it back like new, had to do it a few times tho'. Bicarb of soda on the fabric underneath killed the pong.

Bullet dodged!!

Reckon shagging her best mate would have been more fun though........
