MFD2 and Aux in

Featured Replies

Hello Gents,

Have brought an Octy estate that has come with an MFD2 but is a 55 plate so no Aux In port.

I would like to get an Aux port as I am used to having a 20GB HDD in my old Toledo with all my music on it. If I can add an Aux then I can play off my phone or mp3 player.

I have had a look at stus site but am still confused. Can I add a 3.5mm socket to the existing quad lock or do I need to do something clever with the round aux in 9(?) pin socket?

I have tried looking on eBay and can't seem to find the right thing.

Thanks

You can make up an Aux socket easily enough. You can buy the socket fitted to the later cars and wire it to the MFD2 as shown in my MFD2 install guide.

Thanks Stu,

Do you have the part numbers for the Aux socket?

Guess I also need:

12 Pin Green Flat Contact Housing (Plug) Radio/Telephone Connection - 3B7 035 447 B - £3.38

Does the Aux socket from the dealers come with the required leads to plug into above said connector?

Thanks

I'm afraid I don't have it to hand mate but the dealer should be able to find it no problem. You won't get the cabling, you'll need to make that up yourself.
