cheers boys for the info, am doing everything at once including r32 steering rack so should be nice and fun. Got most of the tools i need....there is always something that gets stuck tho isnt there!!!

Still recon its the tyres breaking away, Ken has had a bad experience with them too so i would be looking to flog them on and get something better suited to the vrs.

Have you got access to a ramp or are you doing it with stands? I need to fit my quick rack but I think it's a bit more than a DIY on-the-driveway job :confused:

No am going to do it on my drive with a low lift jack and stands, why cant you rent ramps by the hour eh??? i bought a secondhand subframe,tt wishbones, r32 front arb, r32 rack and am just trying to get hold of some fwd tt hubs (any ideas anyone?) its all being assembled off the car then swapped in one go......in theory.....and i will also do the coilovers at the same time!

We could all get together and do them at the same time of course, that would make it easier!!!

mmm not Continental next time then, I thought they were a great make? Not my choice but they were on the car when i aquired it a few months ago and looked brand new. Seriously not good for my heart when they aquaplane

I am going to be fitting the R32 rack soon, but not the wishbones, just the rack so will need to refit the VRS steering rod ends.

You won't regret fitting the weitecs they are great.

I listed all the P/N's for replacement nuts/bolts etc somewhere on this forum for doing the job.
