Cheers, meant to ask can anyone suggest additional soundproofing to go under boot floor? Noticed a little more road noise from rear than in hatch.

Does it have the false floor fitted? If not, by adding this may reduce any road noise issues....

No, considered this but I want maximum height under the load cover, so am going for a rubber mat instead, which should help with the noise. Just wonder if anyone has tried carpet underlay or Dynamat under the floor and in the spare wheel well?

Never had a problem with noise from the rear of my estate, the Scout should be the same :)

Not serious, just a bit more road noise from the back than in SHMBO's hatch.

It could be a tyre issue....

Very nice, remember to post some photos up when you get it

For soundproofing, I've used this in the past with good results. No reason why you couldn't line the wheelwell and underside of the boot floor with it:

10 Sq Ft eDead Original Sound Deadening like Dynamat on eBay (end time 03-Sep-09 15:31:33 BST)

As Len says though, it could just be tyre noise. Check that the car is running correct suspension alignment/geometry settings, as they've been updated/tweaked by Skoda in the past.

If you ever carry wet stuff in your boot, you could consider getting the plastic boot dish instead. It's like a very shallow bathtub!

Sure you'll be very happy with the Scout. I have the 4x4 Estate, which is very nearly the same car. When I consider it's abilities and what I paid for it, I think it's an incredible car. I know the Scout is a bit more expensive but then it gets a few extra toys as standard, so still remains a lot of car for the money

Welcome to the club :D

You could consider also removing the rear seat bench and adding Dynamat under that, as it's close enough to the transmission and rear differential and there's not really too much of anything in there.
