Still looking for a door for my vRS and so far they are very few and far between and when I find one it's too far away. Just wanted help finding links to breakers yards/ salvage places that are good.

Whats the limiting factor in the distance ? I would have though anywhere mainland UK isn't to far away for a rare item ?

Scotland for example would be too far for me. There's a vRS breaking on eBay but it's in Redcar which is the otherside of Middlesborough. A mate of mine is willing to travel for me in his van just as long as I pay for Diesel and his food.

I collect it from Southampton, take it to Cardiff next time I go up there, then you come to collect it (or someone from Swansea who is visiting Cardiff collects it and delivers it to you)

Just thinking on my feet here, but there's a branch of TPS in Swansea. Sure, you'd need to get the door sprayed etc. etc. but if delivery is proving such a big hurdle for you it might be worth considering??? :ne_nau:

(It's supposedly trade-only, but I've never had a problem with card / cash payments when I've turned up in person...)

I've been to TPS for all my other bits. My mate whose fixing the car has an account with them.

I now have a door. Came from Skospares £60 delivered, in silver. Few marks on the outside where the door shuts where it must have knocked against a wall, all of which can be sorted when it's sprayed.
