What's that in the jumbo box??

Featured Replies

Maybe a stupid question, but what's the little clip thing in the jumbo box that slides up/down by about an inch, just bu the 'aux' socket?

At first I thought it was a route for the aux lead/MP3 but cannot see how....

It opens an air supply from the air con into the jumbo box when you pull it up. It doesn't seem to want to stay up in my car, but I use the air vent into the glove compartment for keeping my chocolate stash cool anyway...

aahhh...obvious when you know how...will give it a go later on...

Cheers,

IIRC the air feed into the jumbo box is whatever the climate temperature is set too, so be wary of putting chocolate in...lol

Its great for cooling down a can or 2 of coke etc though, a very handy little feature!

Another case of 'why waste paper printing vehicle handbooks'? Do people ever bother to look in them, or just come on here to ask the question?

Ditch handbooks, save trees?

Starts online handbook:

Round thing in front of driver - steering wheel, can be used to direct the car, rotating to the left, car goes left, rotating to right, car goes right. Can be adjusted using the lever on the left side, pull down and it allows the wheel to be moved in/out toward dash and up/down. Remember to put the lever back up to lock new wheel position.

Stalks either side of steering wheel - left side one can be used to warn other drivers of intended changes of direction (though - if observation is accurate) this is optional................etc............etc...

Take a step back, some people may purchase their car used and therefore may not have had a handbook supplied :)

Fair point, but I reckon most people still don't read their handbooks! I feel a poll coming on...

melt your mars bar in there, then turn the temp way down to cool it down. tastes much better then, especially if you squash it while soft.

Trouble with the Owner's Manual is, it refers to the Jumbo Box as "Front Seat Armrest" and Maxidot as "Information Display"

A lack of consistency, no wonder we get confused! :rotz:

Since my air con stays set around 16 degrees most of the year it's leaving the car parked in the sun that I worry about... During the week of good weather we got a month or two ago the temperature in the car parked with windows shut hit 60 degC. Kit Kat chunky's aren't improved by being squashed while melted :(...

well i searched my vrs handbook when i first got it and found nothing
