Just got my xbox, got no games except Res Evil 5 (which I don't like) and Burnout Paradise I borrowed. I can't borrow any more of my mates games

So what games are worth buying? Cheaper the better, I have the whole back catalogue to choose from, doesn't need to be the newest and best. Things I can pick and put down and get something out of in 15 mins are preferable to ones where I have to look myself away for hours to get anywhere.

If your a petrol head, and your here so that's a bit of a given, get yourself Forza Motorsport 2 (although the 3rd one is coming out in October)

Best racing game by a mile and i was Gran Turismo all the way until i got my xbox.

IMO beats that hands down.

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare is amazing - the single player is great even if you don't get immersed in the multiplayer.

Best advice i can give is get yourself hooked up to xbox live - you can download the entire back catalogue of demo's from the "Game Marketplace" even with the free silver membership. Then you can try before you buy

Theres been about 6 NFS games on the 360. If you can find a copy, get NFS:Most Wanted, by far the best of them.

Forza is the most real out of those.

I enjoyed Fable II, aswell. A good shot if you like RPGs.

xbox live is quite possibly the best thing i have ever invested it! Call of Duty 4 and 5 FTW! roll on Modern Warfare II

Forza is what I'd call a racing simulator whereas PGR is more an arcade racer I reckon.

Yes! Good shout! I would recommend GH3 - Legends of Rock. I've got World Tour but there's a pile of sh*te songs :(

Alone in the Dark isn't bad, either.

Coming up soon, you've got Batman Arkham Asylam, Modern Warfare 2, Forza 3, Max Payne 3 (get the first two on Live!), and the one I'm really looking forward to is Alan Wake.

The multiplayer is fantastic if you're with people you know, in my opinion. As is the case with many games, the online play is spoilt completely by immature idiots :thumbdwn:

If you look at my xbox360 gamer profile (mannyo1221), you'll see that GHWT and RB2 are my most played games at present. Its taken me 7 months, but I can now play both of these on Expert guitar and RB2 on expert Bass. For some reason Expert bass on GHWT is quiet difficult for me.

Indeed, the one thing I wish for in COD5 is multiplayer between console / PC, that would be fun. Mind the console version helps you along, the hit boxes are twice the size of the ones on the PC version
