Porsche Brakes

Featured Replies

The rents were good to me for my birthday yesterday and got me porsche boxster S front calipers. Just wondered if anyone had gone about fitting a set where they have had to source carriers etc. Heres the calipers.....

Used the search, and read up on all the posts but it seems to be more people having problems getting them behind their wheels. Was planning on using the 323 discs off of a LCR? Any thoughts would be good :)

Oh my word... I want some!

How much were they? :)

i have brembos of an evo 8 on my vrs, made my own carriers for them

Hmm if they're fronts then you're going to need a 30mm wide disc, what width are the LCR discs?

ok, i officially hate this thread now!

i've just been looking at various caliper sales on ebay, and my god they look good but not exactly inexpensive!!

p.s. would they fit under 16" wheels?, have never upgraded brakes before.

Very nice

You're going to need 17s and some with decent spoke clearance too. TT Comps or S3 Avus-IIs would suffice

Avus IIs are the way forward. (They don't fit over a 350mm disc though ;))

Couldnt say how muh they cost :o lol.

turns out they are 996 rear calipers, been doing alot of research yesterday. Spoke to a guy from ukmk4's forum, who sells kits for the calipers and hes priced me discs, carriers and hoses etc, i already have pads.

Im running porsche boxter wheels with huge spacers so im fairly sure clearance wont be an issue with these, but they definately wouldnt fit under 16" wheels.

Looked into the discs aswell, LCR discs are to thick for the caliper, and are actually more expensive and slightly heavier than the 325 discs i can get for the car. Just need to try and sort something out because the carriers and discs etc aint cheap either :thumbdwn:
