Few Felicia electrical questions

Featured Replies

Sorry this is a bit of along one. I have just rejoined the ranks of Felicia ownership with one as a second car for load lugging. The car I have bought is a none runner due to electrical problems, the car is a 2000 V reg estate. I have found down at the starter motor a yellow cable which has burst out of it's insulation, which suggests overcurrent (possible faulty starter?) I don't know where the yellow wire goes to in the car, will it come straight from the ignition switch? When connecting the battery the sidelights are on all the time, I have disconnected the switches and the lights are still on, so I am thinking faulty relay or a backfeed, firstly is there a relay for the lights? and secondly which one is it? Last of all there is an alarm (which looks factory fitted) under the scuttle panel area which is disconnected, does the alarm contain the immobiliser or will this be seperate? Thanks in advance. I don't have a Haynes manual at the moment but should be getting one in the next few days, so I will then have some wiring diagrams.

firstly, which engine does it have?
