Well I thought I'd just pop along and say hi! I've been a fan of the Octavia vRs for years now, but never owned one. I've been a Ford driver all my life, but after buying a brand new Mondeo last year with all the bells and whitles, I've had a change of heart. From day one the car was a total pain in the ****, most of the electrical systems failed, sat nav was rubbish, drivers seat and rails were replaced, tires wore at the front in 9,000 miles due to the ABS and brake balance being shagged. And finally, one of the factory fitted Continental rear tires failed after 18,000 miles of use, leaving 2 tire walls on the alloy at 70mph. Cue side-ways slide into a curb and roll into a concrete bridge. The result......

I had a great courtesy car back in 2000 in the form of a blue 1.6 Octavia, when someone prnged the side of my then pride and joy Escort. I fell in love with the basic car that it was, and didn't want to give it back after 2 weeks!! So here I am, buying a new facelift vRs next month. The Ltd edition is not really practical for baby seats, as much as I'd love one!!!!

It's good to be here, and I hope to post up some shots when I get my new car!!!:thumbup:

Just finally found a video for those who haven't yet seen the new FL Octavia....

Got my order in this month, and was told it could be JANUARY before I see it!!!! WTF?!?! They said maybe more like November, but still a little disappointed. Can't bloody wait tho!

Called Skoda this week and it's on its way very early! I pick the thing up on the 31st of October and I am getting rather wet in the pant area in excitement!!!!!:rofl:
