1000 Miles :-)

Featured Replies

Just got a 1000 miles on the clock, not bad considering I've only had the car for 9 days :)

Had a little play with a scooby on the way home not sure what kind it was, it had a massive tin can exhaust and a de-cat by the smell of it. Are they meant to be quicker than a vRS?

Off the mark the scooby will be quicker and if its standard then you should be able to give it a good run through the gears, but no matter if you win or lose at least your engine will out last his

Shhh Boyced, don't tell everyone, it's our little secret :D

Depends, std WRX gives out around 220 whereas the WR1 spec version is 330. Std STI UK is 260 (import version is 280). So, makes sure you can tell them apart otherwise you might get burnt.

Careful too with the old classic shape as these are very often tweaked with ECU upgrades, turbo upgrades etc etc and even an std looking oldish impreza turbo can give well over 280 bhp.

In addition, the gearing on the STI spec is very low, so they really shift from a standstill.

Reliability wise they are OK, but as with any car, mess with the fueling, ecu, turbos etc and expect trouble if not done correctly.
