This weekend was host to the Castle Combe Summer Festival involving racing on both days and glorious sunshine!!

Included all the normal Castle Combe championships along with Brit Car, BRSCC Formula 3, TVR Challenge, Super Karts and more

Super Karts being the insane mans choice - 250cc motocross bike engines and an AVERAGE speed of almost 100mph!!

Saturday included a coupel of good races but a long delay after one of the Combe saloons manged to roll onto and of of the barrier after contact at the first hint of a corner promopting an hour delay while they put the armco back together.

Sunday was then had a similar delay in the final race when a TVR's engine let go, dumping fuel over the track causing the 4 cars following him to spin and crash, and then burst into flames!

Both events typically happened at exactly the other side of the track from where i was stood so no pics! :thumbdwn:

90 minute Brit Car race had a typically high attrition rate with the Jabba supported Seat Leon unforunately not finishing along with various Ginettas, TVRs, Lotuses (should that be Loti??) and leser saloons.

End of the race was gripping as a Ferrari made up a whole lap deficit to over take on the last lap an LMP prototype which was stuck in 3rd gear.

Great weekend and its amazing how a weekend (if not on track action) is improved by dry weather

To be honest 90 minutes was a little long to hold my interest as well - watched the start - got bored - wandered around - then paid attention to the finish as it got so close.

Machinery was interesting enough to make me pay some attention at least!

The seating position is strange in the Leon. Make it look like a 5 year old is driving it..
