Thanks ian. About time aswell don't you think ;)

Nice work H, will look forward to this one.

You fitting yourself?

What about injectors etc??

quality mate. even more jealous of your car now. brand new or second hand. Details, Details;)

You should get some S3 cams in there as well. Anybody know how Sibart got on with his S3 cams??

When you getting your WRC wing then.

The turbo is second hand and is off an S3 and done 17,000 miles. It looks in good condition but of course it will get a full inspection before I even think of installing it. I've thought about the S3 cams, I'm unsure about them.

As for the WRC wing, it isn't ordered yet as superskoda says it is not in stock. I don't want to spend the money for nothing to appear for a month or so...better things to be had for the same money ;)

Harry,

Good luck with it all and i cant wait to see the results.

Good to see you got a fairly decent one by the looks.

What you doing with your KO3s?

I'll probably keep the original K03 turbo for if/when I ever decide to revert back to standard for whatever reason.

I've been in touch with JKM and they seem very willing to install this with the other required parts for me. It's a matter of when now! Can't wait :)

a grand for a new one is pretty steep. whats the going rate for a second hand k04 then, if you dont mind me being rude.:o

are you going S3 IC or twintercooler i think they are smilarily priced, but id have a look to see what the different labour harges are for each.

are you going for the S3 injectors, or stepping up to RS4 injectors in case you feel the need to delve lower into the engine for big numbers. would probably reccomend a diff before that though lol

£350 is what I paid

I'd imagine I'll opt for the S3 intercooler, although I would rather have the APR but thats a bit expensive. In regards to the injectors, I will take JKM's advice. I think S3 injectors would do the job nicely though. Hopefully it will all be done by the end of the month, but thats debatable!

Turbo looks to be in good nick mate. Nice price too by the looks ;)

350 quid, very nice and id have probably bought that if id have seen it, but thats why i got rid of my redit card, lol

another option for your IC mate

Ths intercooler. In depth review of it here from mk5golfgti forum

THS Intercooler for 2.0TFSI Cars

cheaper than APR and i think bigger as well.

I wish you all the best Harry, sounds like a few sleepless nights coming :)

I will be worth it though :)

Car is now booked in with JKM for the 18th August to be ready for the following Saturday

Looks like I'll have to join you for a brew too then :)

Nice Turbo:drool:

What increased BHP can you expect with a K04, S3 intercooler and injectors?

  • Author

I'm hoping for AT LEAST 310bhp. The original conversion done to Sibart's car first produced 309bhp but IIRC that was on the BETA code. I'm sure more is possible from the turbo, 350 i believe is attainable.

Steve - be nice to see you mate. :)
