Can you use WD40 to clean MAF??

Featured Replies

Well if you think cleaning works for you that's fine. My experience says that they rarely work properly once cleaned and often fail shortly afterwards.

Have you logged the MAF output using diagnostics to prove it's reading correctly?

I haven't cleaned one myself as mine works fine but I regularly use the isopropyl cleaning pads at work for cleaning lasers and fibre ends. Just thought I'd throw that in for the guy that cleaned it with WD

It's a 1.9 TDi John ;)

D'Oh!!

I'm just off out to flush through my engine with toothpaste and water:D (have you seen how shiney it makes your teeth?)

then I'll probably clean my teeth with WD40 :orb_bonk:
