Hi All

I have owned a 2001 Fabia Estate 1.9 SDI for about a month now. The day after I bought it the starter started to make the screeching noise that happens when the pinnion gear does not retract quick enough. The noise only happened once every few days and it started getting worse over the last few days. Well, thanks to a few threads I found on your forum on starter's I decided to take mine out and give it a good clean up. Now it is quiet, LOVELY, no more screech.

I feel like a mastercard advert.

Skoda Fabia : £1800

Can of WD40 and Tub of Grease : £10

Smile on my face when I start the car and the starter it quiet : PRICELESS!!!!:):):)
