I'm trying to find a lambda sensor for my Rapid RIC (without having to go to Czech Rep) does anyone know where I can get hold of one? I really don't want to have to convert my car back to a standard carb version!

TBH you are best off junking the RIC system and converting to carb. Its not that difficult or expensive to do either. Keep the electronic ignition - the only good thing about the RIC system.

No! Don't do that, try and keep it original. I dobut there are many "real" RICs left now.

The RIC system is pants though. I had a RIC Rapid and it was a nail, the 136 is a much better motor and the RIC can be made into one with about a day's work. The conversion is also reversable if you keep the RIC bits.

It just isnt practical as an everyday car (as I found out) biggest mistake I made was to sell it instead of converting it to run a Weber carb,

I have one here in Hungary. I bought it in 2006 in the UK and now she's here in Hungary.

I'd also need a new lambda sensor and a new catalytoc converter to get the emission on the right level.

I'd suggest you keep the RiC in her original form, so if you'd convert it to a carb version, then it would immediately lose the real value it will have in a few years!

That would be an awesome thing if you could get hold of a few lamda sensors. I'd also need a new Walker catalytic converter for my RiC, so if you could obtain that, please tell me! Thanks!

Also try CPMS, 01733 324251 or he's on ebay, boroskoda -- he's got loads of Estelle and Rapid stuff and also is an experienced ex Skoda mechanic.

I guess this topic is still valid for 135 RiC owners...
