Hi guys, firstly big thanks for everyones help so far in helping me learn more about the Octy.

Here is the spec, need to work out a realistic price to aim for at the dealers:

vRS Estate Petrol DSG, Race Blue.

Silver Roof Rails

Sunset Glass

Bluetooth

Rear Sensors

Auto lights and wipers

Xenons

Any ideas? I know they've reduced the "VAT" but I'm looking for discount on top, I do have a p/x.

Ring round your local dealers, thats what I did. Key thing to remember is the cost to change. I had a dealer offer me a deal no other local dealer could match (his words), but gave a poor part exchange.

I struggled to get extra on top of the VAT off as apparently a lump of the dealer margin is used to make up the offer (tried all my local dealers and they all said the same). However, you can always push for extras. I got autoglym (supaguard type of treatment) and a rubber boot liner chucked in plus top book price for my part ex. I could probably got a better deal if I had widened my search of dealers but having had trouble in the past with a new car, getting it from a local dealer made it a lot easier to sort.

I'd try drivethedeal and would be interested to hear if you can do better elsewhere.
