hi all please help me i have noticed blue smoke out the the back of the octy rs just on tick over what could be the problem

Blue smoke usually means valve stem seals have gone, try a search on here although I don't think it's a very common problem on 1.8Ts :confused:

Definitely an oil leak someplace into the engine, probably stem seals or a siezed oil control ring. It might also be a blocked breather causing crank case pressurisation and hence excess oil into the inlet through the PCB system, or just be a ragged engine though, or even a weak inlet turbine oil seal.

It's a rare case where you need to check the PCB and if it's not that, get it looked at by someone competent who's physically present.
