if the whistle becomes louder and hasnt always been there it could be the start of turbo failure...mine never whistled and then when it did start 24 hrs later i blew the turbo to bits...

check out the first few seconds of this clip, even the name of the charter is a big clue ..

Well, its the honest truth....get it looked at before it does so!

Cost me a small fortune to repair, after 9 months of driving the compressor wheel has chunks out of the leading edge of the blades.

I dont know how long they've been like that or what, but i've not touched anything until my inlet manifold started leaking.

If it hasnt been there and as said gets louder and starts sounding more like a supercharger than turbocharger then its about blow

Mine does.

As you blip the throttle the turbo is generating boost and the sudden off-throttle makes the VNT mechanism dump the boost.

When you get to my level it dumps the boost and then gives a nice wo-oo-OOO-ooo-OOO-ooo as well
