Colours in post 9 do look better but can't quite say why. I guess you are going to get plenty of use out of it.

Here's a waxeye or silvereye eating the kiwifruit in our garden. Best I managed, they're speedy little things!

This is a Kereru or NZ wood pigeon feeding from a Kowhai tree that's just coming into flower. They're big heavy birds that make a "whoop whoop" sound as they fly along!

As for the shinyness - maybe it's just the elbow grease? Or the light?
