Just bought myself a my dream motor - an Electric Blue Octavia VRS 2.0 FSI.

For the last 5 years or so, I have promised myself this car, and now with recent promotion I have been able to make the dream come true

I have had total brand loyalty with Skoda since early 2004 when I bought a Fabia 1.4 TDi from new. I was a field engineer and I clocked 145000 miles in just under 5 years and absolutely nothing went wrong except the perishables.

I went on the hunt for the Blue Octavia VRS and found it on Ebay. 06 reg and one previous woman owner from new with FDSH. An offer too good to miss as I'm sure you'll agree. 35k on the clock, 4 new continentals last month and 6 months tax. Jeez, I snapped it up!!

Absolutely love it, I especially like the way that I can drive the local M27 at 70 in the middle lane watching people creep by not knowing if I am one of the 3 notorious undercover cars( blue, black and silver) LOL

My Fabia (tuning chip) used to average 83mpg @ 58 mph so I thought I would now open my wallet and hang it out the window, but to my surprise, I just drove from Portsmouth to Blackpool on half a tank!! ?? !! That does not compute! I didn't really go above 70 (was savouring the experience) - apart from the fun times when joining motorways to lose the car at the 4 o'clock position or to blow some tailgating chav out off the road :-)

Guys, I love this motor. Now I know why it was my dream car and I have not been disappointed. Glad to be among those of a similar mind set.
