Octavia Mk 1 CD player

Featured Replies

Dear All

I have just bought a Mark 1 Octavia vRS, and was surprised that it came with an in dash mounted tape player, albeit with boot CD changer.

Is there an indash cd player that would work? I want a factory fit option, as not keen on the after market look. Never looks as good IMO.

Anyway, would the item 6Y0 035 156D fit, and work with the cd in the boot??

Many thanks

I'd be interested in this too, although I'll be losing the changer in favour of an I Pod interface :)

If you can stretch to it, go for a Becker Grand Prix - they sound awesome, yet are so subtly styled that you wouldn't guess they're not an original fit. The shade of green they use for the illumination is a nearly perfect match for the Octy too.

The only downside is that they sting you for the iPod interface, but it does work very well.

I've got one of these in mine;

It Is a standard single OME single CD HU you can get as I managed to locate one off ebay. Its exactly the same as the standard unit apart from obviously the CD slot instead of the cassette slot & It works perfectly with the multi changer In the boot.

I don't know the part number or which model It came out of.

I like that. Just what I need. Any idea on the model number??

The one I've got that also plays mp3 discs came out of a Superb. Got it from eBay for £50.

The partnumber is 1U0 035 156 F

i contacted local dealer with that number and it was not recognised by their system

any chance you could check it please?

Thanks

Spence

That is the partnumber from the back of the unit, but there is also this number in the accessory catalogue, AAO300013. If you do try with that number make sure you are sitting down when he tells you the price!!
