New Fabia vRS owner

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just a quick intro, i've recently brought a 2006 Fabia vRS, 25,000 miles and mint! Love the car, very quick and economical. Im not massively into modding (but the lip spoiler, Octavia wheels and remap are temping!), but love detailing and chose the silver as a challenge! Heres a few pics (in case you don't know what a standard silver vRS looks like :P )

For those who are interested, my previous car was a 206 GTi which i loved. Heres my thoughts on the two (copied from my post on 206info):

So I picked her up a last Friday, and drove straight from Ashford all the way to Bristol then Croyde for a lads weekend, then back to Maidenhead then home to Canterbury (around 700 miles). Impressions are, this car FLIES. Sure, the Pug would be slightly quicker through the gears revving to the red line, but in gear (i.e. real world driving) the Pug is blown away. Oh, it also does 70mpg on the motorway!

Put it in sixth at around 50, floor it and 230lb ft of torque takes you to safe overtaking speeds in four or five seconds - its incredible. Also, the build quality is awesome - no squeeks or rattles, and the doors shut with a reassuring *thunk*.

I still miss the Pug though. 95% of the time, the vRS is better, but that 5% on a dry evening, blipping the throttle and feeling exactly what the tyres are doing, the Pug is better. Gone but never forgotten!
