Freedom is indeed full membership to the site, and adds a few features to what you can do. You get access to members cars, a dedictated freedom members forum, the ability to sell things in the for sale forums, discounts to many suppliers and some other bits and bobs. The membership number is revealed if you visit the freedom signup page after you have joined.
