Don't look if you're afraid of spiders - night-time macro shots

Featured Replies

Went to lock the garage up tonight and spotted these, so thought I'd experiment with the FZ28's flash capabilities. This is what I ended up with, suitably cropped.

Hope you like them

Great pics there Brimma

Yeah, fantastic!

Excellent pics. I like the fact spiders control flies, but hate the cobweb mess, and can't pick them up. Must look even more terrifying to a little fly

Impressive

Impressive! Think that may be my next non-dslr camera!

Is it me, or did that spider have some legs missing?

Nice work with the FZ28 again:)

they are some excellent pics considering its not an SLR

Hmm, not going in your garage :P

Should send them in to a Wildlife type magazine. Might even pay you for it

Strangely enough I think it's the Common Garden Spider - and I'm not messing about :D

Yeah it is :D

We get these in our garden - lots of them! Usually about 4-5cm across including legs. They will bite apparently and it's similar to a bee sting.
