knock sensor fualt on 4x4 turbo

where is knock sensor 1 done a vag come check to find a fualt telling me 16711 knock sensor 1 (G61) signal too low, car was in for a timming belt and come out done but since then its doesnt start on first turn takes a few shots and has got a miss fire at after 5000rpm? so got a shot of vag come and thats the code it comes up with where do i find this on engine and do you think this is causing the problems it has with starting? many thanks for any one who can help me!:thumbup:

Knock sensor 1 is at the timing belt end on the inlet manifold side of the engine. Make sure the connection hasn't come off. Also make the bolt isn't loose. For these sensors to work correctly, they must be torqued to exactly 20Nm.

The sensor is a PITA to get to. If you know what your doing and have the right tools, you can avoid removing the inlet manifold.
