buying a used octavia

Featured Replies

im looking to buy a octavia i have seen a 2002 estate auto with 200k on the clock what should i be checking for when looking at this car thanks

200K is pushing it, look elsewhere under 75k if possible with full service history

phew, that is a lot.....I think at that mechanical age you cant give any general tipps.....maybe except to take someone with you who knows the trade....

check when the belts were last done, (as your looking at £300-350+ to get them done) how well do you know the history? regular oil is essential and will show at this age.

Yep, definitely it also fits the other models.

Are u really sure it is a good idea to get a car that has got 200000 miles equalling 320000 km's - which is a point at which I would scrap my cars....

If you have financial reasons - wouldn't it be wiser to get a smaller, cheaper car with less mileage instead?
