I took delivery of a G25 steering wheel today :D:D:D

Ready for GT5 like innit

I've been busy all designing and making a stand for it.

I'm really pleased with my design, I'll try and get some photos up later.

I had too as I'm just utter crap on the pads. Race driver grid I'm fine but GT5 just ain't happening on the pads :thumbdwn:

I loved GT4 with the old logitech wheel and now love Forza with the microsoft wheel.

Can't wait for Forza 3 to come out although don't think i'll be abel to stretch to buying the new porsche designed wheel that goes with it! :(

by stand do you mean racing seat like a Gameracer? I've been trying to find someone to make me one cheaper than their £200 asking price for ages!

I only found out the other day that Play.com had a special where they were selling those for a ton. Gutted. Fantastic piece of kit, just a shame for me that the 360 doesn't support it.

looks very similar to when my old GT4 wheel was clamped to the arm of a directors chair and my current microsft wheel is clamped to a tiny occasional table.

think i'll keep searching for gameracer alternative! :P

Part of the deal with his better half is that he irons while he plays. Since getting it 'ol fatty turns up for work every day looking like a modern art masterpiece such is the quality of the ironing.

Having the wheel since jan 2007, it really is a very well made product. My son uses it almost every day. No rattles and nothing came off up to now.

Gives a very good response, either with the PS3 or with PC games.

I made a tittle stand for it to play when sitting on the couch. For PC gaming it is attached to the table in front of my sons monitor. (sitting in a modded recaro as deskchair).

Soon a G27 will be out (already looking forward to the new wheel).

I had a look there last week when ordering. I must have missed that ....DOH

I paid a little more than that but not as much as some places wanted

We also have the older Momo (red one with leather), the 900° and the G25.

The G25 is so much better for feel and directness and with the 99.99 GBP deal it is a steal. This would be enough to justify a new toy like this

I would have waited for the new one, but it's essentially the same wheel with a few more buttons.

And it's got too be £200 plus. Fark that for a laugh.

Aha! The G25. Mines been sitting in the spare room gathering dust ever since GT5 Prologue came out. I'm loving the ironing board pikey mod! I never thunk of that.

I'm busy trying to do me own pikey mod using a well worn Ikea lounge chair and some lengths of timber. I think I could afix a frame across the arms of the chair to attach the wheel and gears to. Then I need to fix an inclined foot pedal board to the bottom. I'm sure it can be done.......
