Well, SWMBO has just taken our eldest up to his school to get his results. I don't know which one of them was more worried...:confused:

Should be back by about 1040 ish...

I have just been to the school with my daughter, she is very happy as she got mostly B's. Already been to the college and confirmed her enrolment for her A levels.

SWMBO teaches GCSE, so she's at her school as I type - probably ought to ring to see how her little darlings got on...

Just picked up my son, 4 x A* 4 x A and 3 B's :eek::eek:. Should I let him have a curry tonight or get him revising for re-sitting the B's!!!

We're chuffed to bits with these results, as it's more than he needs to go onto college and do his A levels! Woo Hoo!!

Yes, they are all geniuses, as can be seen from their innovative use of the English language, and anyone older was obviously far, far thicker.

I think certain "performance driven" schools are teaching their pupils how to pass exams rather than simply teaching them the subjects... (sort of exam technique rather than a broad spectrum of teaching like we used to do.)

totally agree. i know a couple of girls who go to the local private girls school. they are just starting year 11 this september. however they already have 4 gcse's!! all a's too. i cant help thinking that they are still gonna end up working in topshop though!!
