Hey guys, I have an '03 Octy and it has a chip/small crack in the windscreen. Looking at Autoglass etc repair websites, it seems anything within a 10cm strip from the middle of the steering wheel up wil have to be replced rather than repaired. Unfortunately, thats where it is.

Anyways, any of you had to replace your windscreens? Where is best to go? Whats the approximate cost?

do it through your insurance - that's what you normally do, £50-60 excess and check with them if you have use a specific company.

If you have the screen replaced check what colour the tinted bit at the top of the screen is, apparently during 2003 skoda changed the colour on the strip from green to grey. I had a new screen and to originally a green tint screen was ordered and when they came to fit it realised my screen had the grey strip instead.
