Octy 2 VRS Door Card Removal...

Featured Replies

I am looking at installing a Sub and Amp in my Octy 2 VRS, and due to the columbus not having line outs, I am going to have to tap into one of the rear speaker cables with a line level output.

As I have never taken a door card off before without breaking something, can someone give me some advice on how to get a rear door card off without breaking something. :)

Cheers

There's a reviewed design with the clips now. The last ones i got from skoda were white and looked less brittle.

Thanks Guys,

I will be sure to order some clips before I even start the job seing as they are so cheap, and I am sure to break some if not all of them.

Where is good to get these, and what particular ones would you recommend. I hate trying to get the doorcard off. I wouldn't mind the clips breaking but the last time the garage took it off the actual doorcard got broken where the clip is held on.

I use these. Franklin 5pce Trim Removal Tool Set (TA635) on eBay (end time 09-Sep-09 14:03:15 BST)

When I did mine the kind fellows that replaced my speakers had already broken one of the mountings. Once I had replaced all the clips they had left out because they had broken them the car rattled much less.:D
