Quiz Time - guess what's broken AGAIN

Featured Replies

Some clues:

It's the third one I've replaced in 3 years,

The car is unusable but driveable,

And of course it's a known problem :mad::mad:

Can anyone suss it??

The ebay kit is spot on - much easier to fit than the skoda item, and looks to be much better made. I ranted at SUK, and they rang me back saying that they're very sorry and will forward to their techies for consideration. I read "we don't really care, cheers easy", but I've asked for further feedback.

there are some positive ones, mostly where I've tried helping others with fixes. It's a cracking motor let down by lack of attention to design/quality detail. In 5 years of ownership I've replaced/fixed:

steering sensor

temp sender

front suspension complete

rear springs

one door lock

gearbox leak

and the latest re occuring problem

This is as well as consumables including cam belt and clutch, discs, pads etc.

I won't be buying skoda when this one goes, anyway, keep trying!!

I've never tried, the collective wisdom on this forum is that it can't be done

It can but, its a pain. I did it in my megane, using parts from a pug 306 made a 'hybrid' regulator...
