skoda service question

Featured Replies

my 02 oct vrs currently has a full skoda service history, cambelt etc was done in the 40k mile service last year. i will have done 40k miles in a couple of weeks. my question is it worth paying more money for a skoda service or should i just buy all the service parts and get my mate to do it? money is abit tight at the minute,

thanks

Personally i'd get all the genuine bits and keep the invoices and get ya mate to do it.

I'd take a "middle course", if you know an independant garage you'd trust.

i think im just gonna get all the service parts myself and get my mate to do the service. he will probably do a better job than skoda will.

go to a skoda garage and they'll rip u off esp as garages arent selling many cars (despite what they say the scrappage scheme is doing)

if you need cambelt done id seriously think of getting garage to do it

find an independant gargage who specialise in vw and skoda and see how much they charge.

u may save money if your mate does it but if he f*cks it up it cost u more! but if hes good (which im sure he is) go for it! you can help him out and it may save you more money in long run!
