2.0FSI judder / stutter

Featured Replies

Hi all

Previously posted this in wrong section - can anyone offer advice or help?

I have an 06 2.0FSI Petrol 4x4 and have had a new clutch when having some warranty work on the gear box. (28000 on the clock).

The car isn't smooth through the rev range though, and is worst cruising at around 30 mph in 3rd. I think it's getting worse though. I expected this issue to be resolved with the other work. The Skoda dealer said they couldn't find the problem and have lodged it as a fault with Skoda Customer Services but I've not heard anything back. I'm pretty sure it's not electical as I had the RAC give it the full work over when a coil pack went on me recently. I'm not having much luck with it so far unfortunately - my previous Skoda was really reliable!

Any ideas?

Thanks

What's Skoda going to do? Surely the dealer is supposed to fix it! I'd try another dealer and maybe take the mechanic out with you to demo the fault.

I took the dealer out and demonstrated it and they had the car for over a week and said they couldn't work out the problem so would log it with Skoda as the car was coming out of warranty.

It looks like I'm going to have to write to Skoda UK's MD, anyone know who he is or has anyone any other ideas?

Thanks

Phil

You could try a specalist and if they fix the fault, claim it back but you'd need to try another dealer and give them resonable chance to fix it.
