AUTO LIGHTS vrs

Featured Replies

Mine don't seem to work that well. I was following a Golf down country lanes the other day and noticed that his lights came on every time he went through a tunnel of trees, where it was shady. They went off as soon as he emerged into the sunshine. I thought that was pretty cool, mine hardly ever came on and when they did, they stayed on when hitting bright sunlight. The windscreen was clean above the sensors.

I thought I might be able too change sensitivity in maxidot, it appears not. Anyone else noticed this problem?

In my Passat it varies, sometimes it is like the Golf you mention and sometimes it's like your vRS. I've come to the conclusion it's not an exact science. They stay on or go off depending on your driving and conditions as well. For example if you go over 90 mph (not that I ever have!) the lights will come on and stay on and if the windscreen wipers come on for more than 5 seconds then they will also come on and stay on.
