Suppliers Of Milltek Dp/hi-flo Cat Other Than Amd

Featured Replies

Right then!

Would like to now add a Milltek downpipe + sports cat to my car before I get it remapped.

I know AMD do this for 389 + VAT + fitting which is around 460 + fitting :(

Does anyone know of any other suppliers who sell / fit the system for a price a bit more reasonable than AMD as I know they have a bit of a rep for being on the pricy side???

Dave

Forge, get a 10% discount. Have a look in the discounts section

Get Mike from Jabba to quote for fitting?

Checking out a "new" company I saw in Autocar last week:

DMSAutomotive.

Based at Thruxton race circuit.

Waiting reply on cost.

They also do serial port programming....hmmm .....wonder if they're anyones agent (APR/REVO)?

They are Agents for West who do supercharger coversions.

Hmmm........supercharger and turbo....just like the Lancia Delta S4 rally car.............

Cheers.

I would get the Miltek rear system to mate up with the front otherwise your going from 2.5 inch out of the new CAT to a smaller diameter at the rear which is not efficient gasflow-wise. AmD know what they are doing when it comes to fitting them so its swings and roundabouts. I got mine fitted locally and AmD where helpful with advice to fix an alignment problem. The Miltek has given mine much smoother power delivery and AMD certainly rate them.

My cat-back system is 2.25 inch diameter custom made - do you think this would be a major problem? It's got to be better than std hasn't it? Or am I a complete Muppet and really shouldn't be allowed near a car again? :(

This should work fine as I forgot the Miltek actually measures 2.25 diameter so it should mate up with your custom rear system. How much did you pay for the custom rear part and how much are AMD quoting to fit it all, they told me around

Got a reply from DMS:

same prices as AmD and only a 5% discount if you get the whole system and have it fitted.

Better go to Forge.

Cheers.

Not much is it.... I'm waiting for a response from AMD for fitting and have cheekily asked them for a discount (somehow I think I could be wasting my time ........ )

Based on what Chris was quoted that would be a grand total of 380+80 + VAT = 540 of our finest English pounds from AMD. I'll try some other sources + report back.... :)

ChrisH - yes i'm having it chipped @ Jabba so that includes RR before/after printouts.

You could mention Jon's (TaviaRS) name and get a 10% increase.:D

Or may be Lloyd (LLB) and perhaps a small discount.

When are you having it Jabbed? Isn't there a R/R session there on 24th? I haven't decided yet whether its worth having mine remapped now I have the Milltek. I recall someone was told it wasnt worth it?

Forge no longer stock any Milltek products!

I guess this cuts the options down a bit :( :( :(

Chris - i'm having it done July (hopefully) as part of the group buy.

Lloyd was thinking about having the remap after having the twin i/c fitted. Mike/Brian at Jabba said it wasn't worth it.

Remember Lloyd had the AmD turbo upgraded which include the full Milltek system and remap.

Cheers.

Adrian.
