This may sound a little crazy, but....is the 1.4MPI only an 8v????

I only ask as the documentation (and engine cover) only states 1.4MPI.....I didn't know if the MPI came in 16v also?

The car is a 52 plated silverline edition.

So I presume therefore that I don't need to worry about timing so much as it is a chain....car has done 78000 miles now but there is no rattling etc. Will just make sure I keep to regular oil change intervals.

Generally if the timing chain is on it's way out, it'll make itself heard in plenty of time. That's what happened with my old one at 59000 miles.
