EGR Blanking

Featured Replies

I have just had all 4 of my glow plugs changed, with a very scary moment as the bores had to be re-threaded  due to the soft alloy used on the plugs.

This cleared the warning light on the dash.

What i would like to know has anyone blanked off the EGR, on a 1.9 tdi 105, and what difference did it make, as mine has to come off for a clean

What is the likely effect on emissions

If anyone has had this done could you recommend a kit for doing it and where you obtained it from

:+1: Would like to know if anyone did this on their TDi Vrs

Not an octy but i have my EGR Removed on my Fabia VRS

Acceleration feels much better, can tell the cars breathing better. MPG is better also

I got an allard power pipe second hand. Can't comment where to get it from new, but i reccomend it. Only thing u'll get is the CEL light on ur dash. Well i did with the Fabia anyways

Correction this cleared the warning light for about half an hour:rotz::rotz::(

Will have to blank EGR or get it cleaned out

I would clean the EGR first to see what happens.

Allard as mentioned do the pipes but you will get a CEL after which can be mapped out. There is no specific kit for the 105PD you would have to make up the pipes to fit.
