There's a few videos on YouTube showing the LC being used on Petrol DSG FL Octavias. Do they really have LC as i can't find anything in the manual I downloaded.

Launch control is in the Golf owners manual. All it advises is that the conditions are safe.

I have tested it on a Superb 3.6 and I can confirm that it works well.

its pretty pants on my passat tdi170, doesnt rev high enough in my opinion

i have an 2009 octavia vrs 2.0tsi, with DSG. I have in the manual the instructions how to use Launch Control.

The box seemed to hesitate around 60kph? Do you find LC much quicker than flicking through gears manually (i.e. with paddles)?

yes, because in LC i can revv the car to about 3500rpm. In manual mode i cannot revv the car at all and i can make a bad start
