1.8tsi BZB turbo

Featured Replies

Anyone upgrade their turbo here?

i'm having the 1.8tsi and would want more power.

Anyone?

You should think about remapping first rather than going for a Straight Turbo upgrade. Unless you have got about £5k just lying round burning a hole in your pocket as this is circa what a Turbo upgrade would cost including all associated parts.

A remap will cost around £300-600 (depending on which software company you use) and will definately give you a massive difference in power and delivery

If not you can use either of the Following:

REVO - Circa £600 - IMHO the best Remap software out there and if you want to go further or Tweak for certain mods you can quite easily. Expect around 30-35bhp increase and 70-80lb/ft with Stage 1

APR - Circa £600 - Pretty much the Same as REVO but they have to tweak the map for you for different mods. Again expect the same gains but a bit less Torque

Bluefin - Circa £450 - Pretty similar to REVO but not quite as Powerful and you are limited to the Map they provide you. If you have other mods you have to tell them and they make a map for you to try. Very easy to flash back to Stock if you are worried about warranty. Customer service is Fantastic by all accounts. Gains will be similar to APR

P-Torque - Circa £450 - Again very good judging by all accounts from people on here. Will do a custom map for your car and all who have used them have been impressed with the results. Gains will again be similar to APR/Bluefin

I personally use REVO and when i went from Stock to Stage 1 it was the best experience ever on the drive back. You will really really not regret it whichever you choose. My personal preference is REVO thats all.

As you have a Superb i don't know if there are many other upgrades out there for your car (Exhaust etc) also the 1.8TFSi is fairly new so you may have to wait for other upgrades for the engine.

Awesome review.... sad to say, in my country, REVO for stage 1 only apply to manual tranmission but not DSG.
