underbody protection

Featured Replies

Seen my first yeti in the flesh today at murrys of plymouth looked very nice in black with black leather seems the same ground cleareace as my octavia scout but no where near the underbody protection it has a plastic sump guard where as the scout has steel and the underside on the yeti look to exsposed to damage from stones

i dont use my scout off road much appart from rally stages when ive been marshalling but the steel sump guard sure keeps the rocks that have been deposited in road away from my engine

anyone know if they plan to fit a better guard?

ill be sticking to the scout for a bit longer me thinks

was it the 2 or 4 wheel drive version?

it was the 2.0tdi 4x4 140bhp

You have to specify the rough road pack: steel under tray and I am led to believe added protection for some suspension components and braking system.

Cost: £180 SE & Elegance only (all engines).

not good if you buy 2nd hand then and the first owner didnt spec it

shame as i said before looks very nice

Might be it's on the options for the same reason as the spare, save weight to keep the emissions down.

Maybe it would be available to retrofit?

I guess the reason for not including it (apart from cost) is weight as economy and emissions are all important these days.

Found this image on a CZ motoring web site, unfortunately no explanation as to is exact intention but I guess the areas highlighted could be where additional protection is added as part of the rough road pack.

Note: shown alongside the same image but without the highlighted areas.
