Fabia won't start : (

Featured Replies

Hi guys and gals....

new to the forum and new to skodas and was wondering if anyone can help. I've done a search and nothing seems to match exactly.

Well our 1.9 sdi 2001 is driven every day for half an hour in the morning and evening.

My wife drove home yesterday no problem then literally 10 minutes later she tried to start it again and it wouldn't even turn over.

She said she didn't notice any warning lights.

We tried to jump start. All lights come on then go out in correct order but the engin only turns over maybe half a turn then nothing.

Would this be the battery if she had just driven. I understand that the wire from the alternator to the battery can cause some problems?! but really that suddenly and out of the blue.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Battery, Alternator Sense Lead or Broken wire to starter solenoid.
