boot switch

Featured Replies

I seem to have a problem with the boot switch, beep and light comes on, on the dash, although it is definatly closed, is the switch avaliable on its own or is it a complete catch? any idea of prices? thanks

Looking at the diagrams on VAG-Cat.com, you will have to buy the whole catch to repace this switch. I'm not sure if it will be the upper or lower parts that contains this sensor. I would imagine it's on the upper one (bootlid). I'm not sure of the upper, but the lower catch and motor was about £20 when I bought one last year from the stealers. :D

Thanks it is on the upper section (boot lid) and the unit is fitted to the catch with a screw that was why I was hoping it was a seperate part.
