Hi,

The high level brake light has failed on my 2003 octy vRS estate. Does anyone know how to remove the existing one to replace it? I've taken off the interior trim but can't see how to get the light unit out. White Dove Skoda want only £36+vat to fit a new one so I'm guessing it's probably pretty simple.

mine is on it's third due to water getting in.

ref changing it, it's a pain as you have to first debond the unit out of the spoiler then take the old unit apart desolder the cable then dismantle the new unit to then resolder the cable and bond it into place in the spoiler

if white dove are saying that the cost to fit is deffintly £36.00+ VAT + the unit let them do it for two reasons

1 is they have got all the tools to take the unit out and rebond it in again

2. that you will get a 2 year warrenty on the job and there is a high chance that in the 2 years water will get in
