Performance Mods

Featured Replies

Hello again!

Just wondering what performance mods are available for the 2 litre TFSI.

So far on my shopping list, I've got:

  1. Revo Remap
  2. Eibach -30mm springs or coilovers
  3. Decent tyres (unsure of which yet, currently on the dealer supplied budgets though!)
  4. Performance filter/induction kit (what's available?)

I'm aiming for mid 200's in terms of power, nothing silly. I'm mainly hoping to sharpen the whole car up though, improving throttle response and handling.

I don't particularly want it to be louder, but I'd like some more noises from it - my friend's Focus RS (I know it's a lot different) has lots of pops/bangs/whistles and I'd like some of that on my VRS.

Anyone :)?

If you do a search all will be revealed bud.

For Mid 200 bhp (so im assuming you want 250bhp) you will need the following as a minimum

REVO Stage 2 (or equivalent Bluefin or APR but generally Revo is the most aggressive/powerful)

CAI

Thats a bare minimum.

Before i went Stage 2+ i had 257bhp and 302lb/ft with the following mods

REVO Stage 2

Miltek CBE

EVOMS CAI

Neuspeed Turbo Outlet Pipe

S3 Intercooler

Autotech Fuel Pump Upgrade

DV Relocated to KO4 Position

With REVO Stage 1 you will get around 235bhp and about 270lb/ft.

If you then add Turbo Back Exhaust, CAI and Fuel Pump you could well see 250bhp.

Koni FSD and Eibach's generally seem to be the most widely used suspension set up (it's what im using aswell)

EVOMS is generally considered to be the best CAI (Forge Twintake is not tested yet) but it's Circa £320 for a new one

Tyres is down to your own preference and budget. I use Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas and have Used Avon ZZ3 (which i currently have on the front to run them down) but i prefer the Vredesteins. Other good tyres are Goodyear Eagle Assymetrics or GSD3 (if you can still find any) but again that really will be down to personal preference

For an idea of what mods you can do have a look at my car here - Mater's Blue Bullet

If you have any other questions feel free to ask

Carl:thumbup:

agree with carl there pal,

I have bluefin stage 2+, but to be fair the only reason i bought bluefin over the revo was i have been working over in germany for the last 6 years so not that easy to get to a dealer for REVO. I prob wil be changing in the future to revo though.

If i was to start again my money would first go on a

perfomance down pipe and CAT,

revo stage 2(only £50 more expensive than stage 1iirc)

a cold air intake(im just about to order the forge twintake on monday:D)

eibach front and rear anti roll bars

whiteline anti lift kit

ferrodo DS2500 front pads

i reckon your looking at around £2000 spend out there, but the difference there would be absolutley huge
