Mdf2 & audience head unit on l&k

Featured Replies

I'm looking to install an MFD2 into my Octavia 2 L&K which has the upgraded 12 speaker sound system. I currently have an Audience head unit.

The problem therefore is to get the Amp to power up, so you need to send a signal down the CAN BUS to say Amplifier to switch on....

Are any available solutions?!!!

I dont think the MFD2 is compatible with the 12 speaker setup at all, it was never possible to order the MFD2 and 12 speakers, only the Audience with 12 speakers.

the MFD3 is however compatible.

The soundsystem is activated by canbus, the nexus isnt capable to give this signal.

However, someone in Germany built an adapter to be able to use any radio with the soundsystem.

Will cost 100 euro without shipment.

He developed the adapter himself and it is working fine with the soundsystem.

Thank's guys....this make me sad..

What about a aftermarket alternative like those from WISTON, ZUHAI, etc? Is any model capable to do the job?!

Don't bother. Save yourself a mountain of time and aggro and buy an MFD3 instead. You'll be glad you did when your Witson crashes again, and again!
